BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) - Authorities are investigating a human jaw bone found in the Missouri River in Bismarck.

Police say a man wading in the river near a boat landing found the bone Sunday when he stepped on it. The man notified authorities.

Police sent the bone to the state medical examiner, who determined it’s a human bone. A DNA analysis will now be done to try to determine its origin.
