DURHAM, N.H. (AP) - Police in several New Hampshire communities have been investigating reports of clown sightings after other states reported suspicious incidents involving people dressed as clowns.

WMUR-TV reports (https://bit.ly/2dGzVlE) police in Durham confirmed reports of a person dressed as a clown walking around the University of New Hampshire campus non Monday night. Police said that person was reportedly using a megaphone. No weapons were reported.

Police in both Keene and Berlin said they, too, also investigated reports of clown sightings.

Since August, people in states including South Carolina, Maryland, Pennsylvania, New York and Georgia have reported scary or suspicious incidents with people dressed as clowns.
