BELLE ISLE, Fla. (AP) - Officials say two men have been found shot dead in a car near a central Florida school.

News outlets report that a Belle Isle police officer found the two bodies inside a car early Wednesday in a parking lot near Cornerstone Charter Academy.

Belle Isle Police Detective Jeremy Millis said Wednesday afternoon that investigators do not have any suspects in the slayings.

Authorities believe the victims were shot multiple times in the street nearby and drove a short distance before dying. It is unclear when the shooting took place, as police did not receive any reports of shots fired in that area overnight.

The school’s office said students attended classes as normal.

Police did not release the identities of the victims, pending notification of their next-of-kin.
