MESA, Ariz. (AP) - No one is injured after a fire caused the roof of a Mesa house to collapse.

Officials tell KPHO-TV (https://bit.ly/2bFe0hu ) that a mother and her teenage daughter heard smoke detectors and noticed flames in their kitchen on Wednesday night. They both made it out of the house safety.

Crews from the mesa Fire and Medical Department responded at about 10 p.m. They were inside the home when they noticed the roof starting to give, but made it outside of the building before the roof collapsed.

The house is a total loss and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
