POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. (AP) - Tim Barnes tossed a 3-yard touchdown pass to Justin Harrell on fourth down and Georgetown held on to beat Marist 20-17 on Saturday night.

Barnes was 23 of 45 for 208 yards, and his only scoring throw capped an 11-play, 70-yard drive with 12 minutes left. The Hoyas’ defense took care of the rest, holding Marist to 0 and 13 on third-down conversions.

The Red Foxes (1-1) jumped out to a 10-0 lead when Mike White threw a 50-yard touchdown strike to Juston Christian, and on a 37-yard field goal by Mike Maccarone. Henry Darmstadter kicked two field goals of 25 and 28 yards in the first half for the Hoyas (2-0).

White added a 29-yard TD pass to Jon Kanda to give the Red Foxes a 17-13 lead with four minutes left in the third quarter.

The start was delayed about 40 minutes due to lightning.
