LAUREL, Del. (AP) - Police are investigating the death of a pedestrian on Route 13 in Laurel.

Delaware State Police said the man ran across the road Friday evening when he was struck by a car.

Police are withholding the name of the man, who police said is from Mexico, pending notification of his family. He was pronounced dead at Nanticoke Memorial Hospital.

Police said the man was wearing dark clothing, not carrying a flashlight and may have been under the influence of alcohol. The driver of the vehicle was uninjured.
