Dr. Bennet Omalu, the famed forensic pathologist who inspired the NFL drama “Concussion,” appeared to suggest over the weekend that Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton is being poisoned.

He made the comments after video showed Mrs. Clinton nearly collapsing and being held up by aides while trying to leave a 9/11 commemoration ceremony on Sunday.

“I must advice the Clinton campaign to perform toxicologic analysis of Ms. Clinton’s blood. It is possible she is being poisoned,” Dr. Omalu tweeted later that evening.

In a second tweet, the Nigerian-born doctor who was the first to discover chronic traumatic encephalopathy, or CTE, in football players appeared to implicate Russian President Vladimir Putin and Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump in poisoning Mrs. Clinton.

“I do not trust Mr. Putin and Mr. Trump. With those two all things are possible,” Dr. Omalu wrote.

Mrs. Clinton, who was diagnosed with pneumonia two days before Sunday’s event, said she did not disclose the diagnosis earlier because she “didn’t think it was going to be that big a deal.”

She said she ignored her doctor’s advice to take five days off to rest, but she’s “feeling so much better,” she told CNN Monday. She also acknowledged that her campaign “maybe” should have been faster in making her diagnosis public.
