BLUFFTON, S.C. (AP) - The driver in a deadly crash Saturday that killed an 18-year-old woman on Bluffton Parkway has turned himself in to police.

The Island Packet of Hilton Head reported (https://bit.ly/2bWzpla) that 27-year-old Leonard Brown Jr. turned himself in early Thursday.

Police say Brown faces charges of felony driving under the influence resulting in a death and driving with a suspended license. Beaufort County sheriff’s deputies say he also faces a separate charge of domestic violence.

Christine Barrett died at the scene of a wreck shortly before 3 a.m. Aug. 27.
