OMAHA, Neb. (AP) - A Douglas County prosecutor has charged a 59-year-old Omaha man with felony motor vehicle homicide and other counts in the Wednesday death of a motorcyclist.

County Attorney Don Kleine says that Kevin Malone turned on a red light at an Omaha intersection on Wednesday, hitting 43-year-old Justin Hart, who had the right of way.

Police say Malone then fled the scene and was later found by officers, who determined that Malone was under the influence.

Court documents show Malone was convicted of DUI in 2010, 2012 and 2014 and had a suspended driver’s license when the crash occurred.

A judge on Friday set Malone’s bond at $100,000, and he remains jailed. He could not be reached for comment Wednesday, and it was unclear whether he had an attorney.
