PHOENIX (AP) - Phoenix police say a man shot during a robbery has died.

Police say 25-year-old Mario Cholak died early Friday at a hospital after being wounded by one of two suspects who had forced him into the back office of a business in north Phoenix.

Sgt. Vince Lewis says another suspect forced a second victim to the floor and that both suspects reportedly stole drugs and guns before they left the scene.

The shooting occurred Thursday evening when the business was closed. It’s located near East Cactus Road and North 32nd Street.
