NORFOLK, Neb. (AP) - Police in Norfolk are investigating a car crash into a home that appears related to the death of a 78-year-old woman.

Police say the crash happened around 10:30 a.m. Friday, when officers received a report of a car hitting a house and a person lying in the street.

First-arriving officers reported finding 78-year-old Sarah Flowers, of Norfolk, lying in the street, where she was pronounced dead.

Nearby, the car, driven by 59-year-old Richard Boone of Norfolk, had hit a home’s front porch, causing extensive damage. No one in the home was reported to have been injured.

Boone was flown to a Sioux City hospital. Police said they did not know the extent of his injuries.

No other details about the crash or how Flowers died have been released.
