RUTLAND, Vt. (AP) - The Rutland County Sheriff’s Department has announced the finding of more than 200 marijuana plants in three separate grow areas located within the Vermont county.

WCAX-TV reports (https://bit.ly/2bGPVly ) the 249 marijuana plants recovered by authorities Thursday in the towns of Clarendon and Rutland hold a street value worth nearly $500,000.

The sheriff’s department says they do not know who planted the marijuana or who it belongs to. No arrests were made following the discovery

The finding was the culmination of a two-week investigation into marijuana growing operations in Rutland County.
