MALDEN, Mass. (AP) - A third person has been arraigned in connection with a fatal shooting in Everett.

Middlesex District Attorney Marian Ryan says 22-year-old Rigoberto Landaverde-Lemus was arraigned Wednesday in Malden on a murder charge. It was unclear whether he entered a plea or whether he had a lawyer.

Landaverde-Lemus is the third person to be charged in the Jan. 2 slaying of 19-year-old Omar Wilfredo Reyes.

Jose Vasquez Ardon and Cristian Nunez-Flores, both 17, pleaded not guilty to murder charges in February. Both are being held without bail.

Ardon’s attorney has refused to comment. Nunez-Flores’ lawyer has said his client is a “frightened teenager.”

Reyes was found just after midnight Jan. 3 on a walking trail suffering from a gunshot wound to the head. He died at the hospital the next day.
