NEW ORLEANS (AP) - Allegiant Air will add a new year-round nonstop service from Cleveland to New Orleans early next year.

The airline said in a news release Wednesday the flight is the fifth new route Allegiant has announced at Louis Armstrong International Airport this year.

The Las Vegas-based airline will start twice weekly flights from Cleveland Hopkins International Airport to New Orleans starting in February 2017. Flights between the two cities will run on Mondays and Fridays.
