PITTSBURGH (AP) - An attorney for a Pittsburgh teenager charged with firing a gun and wounding four people after the city’s Fourth of July fireworks display says his client didn’t shoot anyone.

Attorney Casey White told the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette (https://bit.ly/2cSceah ) on Wednesday that “our client was not the person firing shots that night.”

Police issued an arrest warrant last week for the 16-year-old defendant in the shooting that injured two adults and two juveniles as downtown crowds were breaking up after the fireworks.

Police cited video surveillance and witness identifications and allege that suspect and two of the victims were part of rival groups.

White said his client is “not associated with any gang activity.” The Penn Hills teen is charged with attempted homicide, aggravated assault and reckless endangerment.
