MCKINNEY, Texas (AP) - A Dallas-area jury has found a 26-year-old man guilty of aggravated kidnapping in the disappearance of a woman last seen two years ago.

The Collin County jury on Wednesday convicted Enrique Arochi after 17 hours of deliberation over two days. The jury will begin hearing testimony on sentencing Monday. Arochi could receive a sentence of probation to life imprisonment.

Prosecutors said Arochi was the last person seen with 24-year-old Christina Morris in August 2014 as they walked into a Plano parking garage after a night of drinking with mutual friends. They had called expert witnesses who testified Morris’ DNA was found inside his car.

Arochi’s lawyers had argued that after he walked into the parking garage with Morris the two separated and he never saw her again.
