JUNEAU, Alaska (AP) - Juneau police have arrested a man who shot pepper spray at officers trying to stop him.

Forty-year-old John Holland is charged with three counts of misdemeanor assault and one count of violating release conditions.

Police say a woman called Monday night to report a man broke into her house and refused to leave. When officers arrived, the man left through a side door.

An officer posted outside told the man to stop and he refused. As he ran, the man sprayed pepper spray toward the officer.

Police say the man continued to run and deploy pepper spray toward two officers.

Holland was hit in the torso by a stun gun and arrested.

Online court records do not list an attorney for Holland. He remains jailed at Lemon Creek Correctional Center.
