BEVERLY HILLS, Calif. (AP) - The Dalmatians, Dobermans and dachshunds are all ready for Rodeo Drive.

The Beverly Hills Dog Show will air on Easter on USA Network, a two-hour telecast featuring stars from NBCUniversal’s top programs and a red carpet for the pooches.

The details were announced Wednesday. The event will be taped March 4 in Pomona and shown on April 16.

More than 1,000 dogs from over 200 breeds and varieties are expected. The seven finalists will walk a runway in fashion show style and the judge will pick the winner.

David Frei, who hosted the Westminster Kennel Club telecast for 27 years, will team with actor John O’Hurley for the telecast. They also pair to call the National Dog Show that is taped and shown Thanksgiving Day on NBC.

Fox Sports 1 will take over televising Westminster from USA Network next February.
