AUGUSTA, Ga. (AP) - A woman has died and another has been hospitalized after a house fire in Augusta.

Richmond County Coroner Mark Bowen tells local media that firefighters responded just before 6 a.m. Wednesday to a fire at a south Augusta home. Firefighters arrived to find the house completely engulfed in flames.

Bowen says 24-year-old Akneetra LaBord was pulled from the home, but was pronounced dead at the scene.

Another victim was taken to the hospital. Two other people who had been inside the house were uninjured.

The Augusta Fire Department is still investigating the cause of the fire.
