FILLMORE, Ind. (AP) - Authorities believe they’ve located the body of a missing kayaker along a central Indiana stream.

The Indiana Department of Natural Resources says conservation officers located and recovered a man’s body Thursday morning that meets the physical description of 27-year-old Robert Simms of the Putnam County town of Fillmore.

Officers say the body was located approximately three-quarters of a mile downstream from where Sims was last seen by witnesses Saturday night on Big Walnut Creek about 35 miles southwest of Indianapolis.

Officers say an autopsy has been scheduled Friday morning.
