PHOENIX (AP) - A woman indicted on two counts of reckless manslaughter in connection with a fatal crash in Mesa last month has pleaded not guilty in the case.

Maricopa County Superior Court officials say 31-year-old Cassie Sackrider was arraigned on the charges Thursday.

According to court documents, Sackrider admitted to authorities that she consumed alcohol, marijuana, Xanax and cocaine before colliding with the victims’ vehicle on Aug. 28.

The documents say Sackrider’s car hit the victim’s vehicle from behind at full speed. Two people died in the crash.

Sackrider was injured in the accident and treated at a hospital before she was booked into jail.

Her next scheduled court appearance is Nov. 7.
