DURHAM, N.C. (AP) - Police are investigating what they call two “suspicious incidents” at school bus stops involving teen girls.

Durham police tell local media the first incident occurred Monday morning at an East Durham bus stop. Two girls - ages 11 and 13 - were at the bus stop when the driver of an SUV got out and chased them. The girls were able to run home.

The second incident occurred Wednesday morning in a different neighborhood. A 13-year-old girl was alone at the bus stop when two men - one armed with a knife - walked out of the woods and grabbed her. The teen was able to fight them off.

It’s not clear if the two incidents are related.
