HOUSTON (AP) - Experts say tap water at the University of Houston main campus has been cleared for drinking again after tests indicated no problems with the supply.

UH officials on Thursday afternoon announced a previous advisory for students and staff not to drink the discolored water, as a precaution, has been lifted. The advisory was issued Tuesday.

School authorities on Wednesday announced the water lines had been flushed and supplies were clear, pending results from samples collected by municipal crews and UH staff. The campus water comes from city supplies. Test results Thursday came back negative.

University of Houston dining services and affected retail establishments were scheduled to resume full operations Friday morning.
