MONTPELIER, Vt. (AP) - Vermont’s administration secretary is leaving state government at the end the month.

Gov. Peter Shumlin announced Thursday that Justin Johnson will be leaving on Sept. 30 to join the government relations firm, MMR.

Johnson will be replaced by Trey Martin, deputy secretary of the Agency of Natural Resources.

Shumlin says Martin has been overseeing the agency’s administration functions, budget, IT, and policy work and well as coordinating the work of the agency’s three commissioners.
