STRATFORD, Conn. (AP) - A former Stratford High School teacher who resigned in March after he admitted to wrestling with a student is now charged with sexually assaulting a 14-year-old boy.

Gregg Alan Gustafson was charged this week with fourth-degree sexual assault, second-degree strangulation and risk of injury to a minor.

The Connecticut Post (https://bit.ly/2cMHWXc) reports that the 47-year-old Stamford resident is free on $25,000 bond.

Police say Gustafson and the alleged victim had been at the same home in February and started wrestling. The boy told police that while they were wrestling Gustafson had strangled him with his coat and grabbed his genitals.

Gustafson’s attorney says his client has “steadfastly denied any inappropriate contact.”
