CHARLESTON, S.C. (AP) - A jury has convicted a North Charleston man in the stabbing of a teen in 2014.

Multiple media outlets reported that 19-year-old Terrell A. Smith was convicted of murder, attempted murder and possession of a weapon during a violent crime on Thursday.

Smith was charged with stabbing 18-year-old Brandon Bennett of Charleston at his home on June 11, 2014. Bennett’s father said he was also attacked by Smith.

Prosecutors said Smith faces between 30 years and life in prison when he is sentenced in December.

Smith had been arrested in Birmingham, Alabama several days after the stabbing.
