TUCSON, Ariz. (AP) - Tucson police say they have located the suspect in a fatal carjacking last month.

Authorities said Friday that 27-year-old Steve Anaya has been booked on one count each of first-degree murder, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and armed robbery.

Officers say Anaya ran from a stopped vehicle Thursday.

He was apprehended and held on unrelated charges.

Police say preliminary tests on a handgun recovered from the vehicle indicate it is connected to an Aug. 18 homicide.

According to investigators, two men gave a suspect a ride and he took their car keys and shot them.

One victim was able to escape but the other one, 30-year-old Uriel Galvez-Galvez, was found dead in the abandoned car hours later.

It was not immediately known if Anaya had an attorney.
