TACOMA, Wash. (AP) - Authorities are investigating after a woman’s body was found on an overpass near State Route 16 in Tacoma.

The Washington State Patrol say troopers were initially called to investigate a possible hit and run late Tuesday.

The Olympian reports (https://goo.gl/xcFrD7 ) the woman was identified by the Pierce County Medical Examiner’s Office on Wednesday as 43-year-old Suejon King-Briggs of Lacey.

The medical examiner’s office says King-Briggs died from accidental blunt force injury to her head.

Patrol spokesman Trooper Todd Bartolac says her injuries may not be consistent with a car crash.



Tacoma Police are also investigating.
