FLORENCE, Ala. (AP) - A man who worked with a traveling petting zoo has been indicted on child sexual abuse charges in Florence.

The TimesDaily (https://bit.ly/2cw0PvZ ) reports that Daryl Victor Raymond Jr. was indicted in August on six counts of unlawful sexual abuse of a child under 12.

Florence police Sgt. Brad Holmes says Raymond was arrested on April 30 after police investigated allegations that he inappropriately touched several girls at the petting zoo when it was in Florence.

Raymond has denied the allegations.

Raymond is being held in the Lauderdale County Detention Center on a $300,000 bond. He is scheduled to be arraigned on Sept. 21.
