SALLISAW, Okla. (AP) - The Sequoyah County Sheriff’s Office says a man has been found dead near railroad tracks near Sallisaw and appears to have been hit by a train.

Sheriff Ron Lockhart told KHBS (https://bit.ly/2c9b0HC ) that authorities were called about 7 a.m. Thursday after a railroad crew found the body.

The man’s name has not been released.

Lockhart said the man may have been lying on or near the rail tracks and appears to have died from a head injury.
