TUCSON, Ariz. (AP) - A 29-year-old Tucson man faces 30 years in federal prison after pleading guilty to four counts of production of child pornography.

U.S. District Judge Cindy Jorgenson on Tuesday sentenced Eric James Alvarez in a case stemming from Alvarez’s making of videos of himself sexually assaulting a girl between the ages of 8 and 11.

The U.S. Attorney’s Office says Jorgenson ordered that Alvarez’s 30-year federal sentence run back-to-back with any sentence Alvarez receives on Pima County charges of child exploitation.

The investigation in the federal case was conducted by agents from U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s Homeland Security Investigations in Douglas.
