Virginia (0-1) at No. 24 Oregon (1-0), 10:30 p.m. (ESPN)

Line: Oregon by 24.

Series Record: Oregon leads 1-0.

WHAT’S AT STAKE

Virginia looks to recover from a disheartening 37-20 loss at home in the opener to Richmond, which spoiled new head coach Bronco Mendenhall’s debut with the Cavaliers. But the team will have a tough time at Oregon’s Autzen Stadium, which is notoriously loud. The No. 24 Ducks will be looking at securing a second win before a trip to Nebraska next week.

KEY MATCHUP

Oregon’s high-powered offense against Virginia’s defense, which allowed Richmond 524 yards offense (337 passing, 187 on the ground) in the opener. The Ducks had 522 total yards offense in their 53-28 season-opening win against UC Davis, with new QB Dakota Prukop throwing for 271 yards and three scores.

PLAYERS TO WATCH

Virginia: QB Kurt Benkert, an East Carolina transfer who will look to build on his solid debut for the Cavaliers when he threw for 264 yards and three touchdowns.

Oregon: RB Royce Freeman, who outmuscled the Aggies in the opener with 87 yards rushing and two touchdowns on just 11 carries. No doubt the Ducks will look to use him more considering the rushing yards Virginia gave to Richmond.
