NATCHEZ, Miss. (AP) - A 21-year-old Natchez man has been arrested for allegedly causing $20,000 in damage to the Beau Pré Country Club Golf Course.

Adams County Sheriff’s Office deputies arrested Joseph Peyton Wilson Thursday on a charge of felony malicious mischief.

Sheriff Travis Patten told The Natchez-Democrat (https://bit.ly/2bZwF7E ) more arrests are possible.

Sheriff’s spokeswoman, Sgt. Cal Green, says investigating deputies followed two sets of fresh tracks to a field that adjoins a home on U.S. 61. There, she says, an ATV was located with fresh wet grass and grass seeds all over it. Further investigation led to Wilson’s arrest.

Deputies were summoned to the country club early Saturday after a report of loud music and a motor vehicle revving its engine.

Wilson remained in custody. Bond had not been set.
