GREENVILLE, S.C. (AP) - Authorities say a driver fled a traffic stop, crashed his vehicle and ran before he was later found with drugs and a gun.

Greenville County Sheriff’s Office tells media outlets that 29-year-old Dominick Larenzo Johnson was taken into custody Thursday night on failure to stop for blue lights, drug and other charges.

Sheriff’s office spokesman Ryan Flood says deputies tried to pull Johnson’s vehicle over, but he didn’t stop.

Authorities say deputies didn’t follow the driver, but ended up locating the vehicle minutes later crashed behind a Greenville Salvation Army. Flood says Johnson, who had fled on foot, was found a short time later.

Investigators say Johnson was also found with drugs and at least one gun. It’s unclear if he has an attorney.
