FAIRFAX, Va. (AP) - Police are investigating the slaying of a 77-year-old man who was found dead in his northern Virginia senior center apartment.
The Fairfax County Police Department said Friday that officers were called to the Little River Glen Senior Retirement Community a day earlier, where they found Cong Huu Nguyen dead in his apartment with trauma to his upper body. The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner ruled his death a homicide.
Department spokesman Officer Don Gotthardt says police don’t have any suspects and don’t know yet whether the killing was targeted or random.
Gotthardt says Nguyen was not shot or stabbed but says he doesn’t know whether any other weapon was recovered.
Police will be increasing their presence at the retirement community.
