RENO, Nev. (AP) - Reno police say a drug deal may have played a role in a shooting that wounded two men at a south-side apartment complex, but they’re still trying to sort out of the details.

Officers responded to a report of shots fired near South McCarran and Kietzke at about 8:40 p.m. Wednesday.

Police say they found one man with a gunshot wound at The Lodge apartment complex and another at a nearby Famous Dave’s restaurant.

Both were taken to a local hospital where their condition was unknown.

Police haven’t figured out the relationship between the two, but a preliminary investigation suggests a narcotics transaction was taking place at the time they were shot.

Detectives also believe other people were present at the time.

Secret Witness is offering an unspecified reward for information related to the case.
