PRINEVILLE, Ore. (AP) - Authorities say a 28-year-old La Pine man died after jumping more than 100 feet into the Prineville Reservoir in Central Oregon.

The Crook County Sheriff’s Office says Christopher Brown jumped from a rock Saturday afternoon, and a dive team found his body submerged in about 65 feet of water.

The sheriff’s office says the use of alcohol and marijuana is believed to be a factor in the death.
