ROCKPORT, Maine (AP) - Police in Rockport, Maine, says a foul odor led to the discovery of a bicycle rider who died.

Authorities say the cyclist left Mt. Pleasant Road on a sharp turn and crashed into a tree. The body was discovered on Saturday.

The victim’s name was not released.

Police tell WABI-TV that they do not know when the crash took place. They say there were no reports of any bicyclist missing or overdue in the area.
