WOODBRIDGE TOWNSHIP, N.J. (AP) - State police say a shooting at a New Jersey Turnpike rest stop has left two men seriously injured.

The shooting at the Thomas Edison Service Area in Woodbridge Township occurred around 6:45 p.m. Friday. But it wasn’t clear what sparked the gunfire.

The two men remained hospitalized Saturday in serious but stable condition. Authorities say it appears they had been travelling southbound in the same vehicle, but their names and further details on their injuries have not been disclosed.

Authorities have not said what type of weapon was used in the shooting or how many shots were fired. They say no arrests have been made.
