BRATTLEBORO, Vt. (AP) - A circus school in Vermont has opened its doors at a new location, welcoming the community with a festival event complete with jugglers and flying trapeze.

The New England Center for Circus Arts opened the new location in Brattleboro on Saturday, and hosted an open house to celebrate. The Brattleboro Reformer reports (https://bit.ly/2gjd4lW ) the location comes after a month of internal chaos resulting in the resignation of the entire NECCA board.

Jeffrey Lewis, NECCA’s interim executive director, says things are running well since founders Elsie Smith and Serenity Smith Forchion were rehired as co-artistic directors by the new executive board.

Lewis says there has been a lot of change in the organization, but they are working hard to make sure everything is being handled responsibly.
