ORLANDO, Fla. (AP) - Five people who authorities say stole technology equipment from a university in Florida have been charged.

News outlets report following last week’s theft, authorities recovered nearly $4,000 in equipment, including an iPad and a projector.

University of Central Florida police said in a Facebook post on Thursday that 21-year-old Justin Reyes told them he tried to sell a stolen $500 camera on Craigslist. Authorities say a suspect told them that they took the equipment for ‘fun.’

Police arrested Justin Reyes, 19-year-old Jay Reyes, 18-year-old Jonas Alonso, 20-year-old Gant Anderson and a juvenile for several offenses, including grand theft.

It’s unclear if the accused have lawyers. None of the suspects are affiliated with UCF.
