PROVIDENCE, R.I. (AP) - Rhode Island drivers are paying the same at the pump this week as they were last week.

AAA Northeast reports Monday that the cost of self-serve, regular gas still averages about $2.23 per gallon.

Rhode Island’s price is five cents below the national average of $2.28.

The average price for gas in Rhode Island was 43 cents lower a year ago, at $1.80 per gallon.
