BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (AP) - A murder charge against a McCalla man is moving forward in the fatal shooting of a Birmingham man.

Al.com reports (https://bit.ly/2lP2wvg ) that a Jefferson County grand jury has indicted 31-year-old Lee Andre Moultry in the 2016 shooting death of 29-year-old Jerrell Demond Rodgers.

Police said the shooting happened the morning of Jan. 26, 2016 in the Morton Simpson Village public housing community. They said Rodgers ran about 100 yards from where the first shell casing was found before he collapsed near an apartment building. He was shot multiple times.

Moultry was arrested on Feb. 25, 2016. It’s unclear if he has an attorney.
