BRENTWOOD, N.Y. (AP) - Police say a Long Island driver was drunk when he ran a stop sign and crashed his car into a house.

The crash happened at about 3 a.m. Thursday in Brentwood.

Suffolk County police tell Newsday (https://nwsdy.li/2inTfIR ) that Wilbur Funes ran a stop sign and crashed into a house on Grand Boulevard.

Funes, of Bay Shore, was arrested on a charge of driving while intoxicated. It’s not clear if he has an attorney who could speak for him.

Police say there were no injuries and the house sustained minor damage.
