NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (AP) - Police in North Charleston are looking for a man who walked out of their office while being questioned.

Police said 24-year-old Jonathan Tyree Prioleau walked out of the North Charleston police headquarters Tuesday night after being arrested following a traffic stop and a chase through mud on the banks of the Ashley River.

Police say Prioleau had been left alone briefly during the interview and left the building.

Police spokesman Spencer Pryor told local media that officers are reviewing how the escape occurred.

Prioleau had been arrested after he ran from a traffic stop and got stuck in mud on the riverbank. He was charged with possession of marijuana and breach of peace. He also had pending warrants for a parole violation and a burglary in Hanahan.
