LAYTON, Utah (AP) - Layton police have arrested two suspects in the killing of a 19-year-old Ogden man who was shot in the head during a drug deal-turned armed robbery.

Police Lt. Travis Lyman says Bryan Brooks died Monday at University of Utah Medical Center in Salt Lake City.

Lyman says Brooks and his girlfriend drove to Chapel Street Park to sell drugs to the suspects Sunday night.

He says the suspects got into Brooks’ car and tried to rob him before one of them shot him in the head. They were taken into custody separately early Monday.

Lyman says 19-year-old Bostin Crookston and 18-year-old Isaac Cain Lee Valdez will be booked into jail on suspicion of murder, aggravated robbery and obstruction of justice.

It wasn’t immediately clear if either one has a lawyer.
