CHICAGO (AP) - Chicago’s mass-transit agencies say they’re adding services and expanding capacity for the upcoming Lollapalooza music festival.

The Metra commuter train service is providing extra trains and adjusting schedules on most of its lines for the four-day event that begins Thursday.

The dozens of performers at this year’s Lollapalooza include everyone from Chance the Rapper and The Killers to Liam Gallagher and Ryan Adams.

The CTA will add services on its rail lines and bus routes. That will include extra buses to bring concert-goers from downtown train stations to Lollapalooza venues in Grant Park.

Metra and CTA will also both be offering limited-edition passes.

CTA President Dorval Carter Jr. says public transit is “the fastest, most convenient and most affordable way to visit Lollapalooza.”
