Lindsay Lohan praised President Trump and the first family as “kind people” in a pair of Fourth of July tweets.

“THIS IS our president. Stop #bullying him & start trusting him. Thank you personally for supporting #THEUSA,” the actress wrote.

Ms. Lohan was responding to a Twitter user who shared a screenshot of a Breitbart News article about the president offering support for Charlie Gard, a critically ill British baby whose parents are seeking experimental treatment for him outside the U.K.

Ms. Lohan added in another tweet that Mr. Trump, Melania, Ivanka, and Donald Trump Jr. are all “kind people,” adding, “As an American, why speak poorly of anyone?”

Ms. Lohan, who endorsed Democrat Hillary Clinton last year, expressed similar sentiments in January when asked to comment on Mr. Trump, who mocked the actress during a 2004 Howard Stern interview, The Hollywood Reporter said.

“I wish him the best,” she said at the time. “We live in a world of societies that consistently find fault in people. I think it’s a really scary factor. Taking someone else down is never the answer, and I think we all know that.”
