RENO, Nev. (AP) - Family members have resumed the search at Lake Tahoe for a California man who has been missing since he went kayaking on Thursday.

Officials for the El Dorado County sheriff’s office suspended the search over the weekend due to stormy, winter weather. They said they would resume a limited search - weather permitting - for Dan Vu Thanh Pham, a 41-year-old Filipino who lives in San Leandro, California.

Pham told a friend Thursday morning he was going kayaking and camping in the Lester Beach area of D.L. Bliss State Park near Emerald Bay on the southwest side of the lake.

He’s is described as 5-foot-7, about 155 pounds with a muscular build, short dark hair and multiple tattoos on his shoulder and chest.

His forest green kayak is 10 feet long.
