PHOENIX (AP) - Phoenix police say five people were injured when a car fleeing from police crashed and possibly struck a pedestrian.

The incident happened Thursday morning at 44th Street and McDowell.

One of the victims is a 30-year-old man who was transported to the hospital.

The intersection was closed while police investigated.

No further information was available.
